Coffee from home, made carefully at every step
From the farm, to the roastery, and the cup you pour.
About Raro
We grew up in Colombia, which means we grew up with coffee. It was on the table every morning, in every visit, at the end of every meal. Years later we found a different kind of coffee (small experiments in fermentation, made by growers trying things nobody else was trying). Coffees that surprised even us. And hardly anyone knew they existed.
That felt like something worth fixing. So we started Raro: a Colombian company built by an unusual mix of people (coffee lovers first, but also artists, filmmakers, coaches). None of us took the straight road here, and maybe that's why we make coffee this way.
Our Craft
We work side by side with the growers on those fermentations — testing, tasting, adjusting, sometimes failing — until a coffee tastes like something you haven't had before. And then it needs the right hands to roast it. We looked for people who cared as much as we did, and we found Eli and Jero at Complemento Coffee. By now they know our coffees as well as we do.
